WYNNE MILLER starred at The Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel in her "To Glenn, With Love" cabaret.  It was a fitting salute to her Uncle Glenn Miller's 100th Anniversary Year.  Songs of Gershwin, Porter, Fain, Cahn, Lerner, Lane and Glenn Miller's great hits plus more.

Wynne Miller spoke at the Grammy Awards representing the Miller Family in acknowledging the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to her uncle Glenn Miller.

"The recipients of these awards are a diverse group of inspired creators who have contributed some of the most distinctive and seminal recordings of the past century," said Garth Fundis, Chairman of the Academy's Board of Trustees. "From the creation of timeless recordings and the preservation of our nation's rich musical history, to furthering music education for students of all ages, their outstanding achievements leave a timeless legacy that inspires generations of fans and artists alike. Their work exemplifies the highest creative and technical standards by which we all measure our own personal and professional contributions."

Glenn Miller led one of the most popular big bands in American music history. In the early 1940s he dominated popular music, earning more than 50 Top 10 hits in just a few years. During World War II, Miller organized a service band while in the Air Force and began performing for troops while hosting a weekly radio series. In 1942, his plane disappeared over the English Channel. His distinctive sound produced a series of hits that remain definitive examples of swing music, and despite a run of popularity that lasted only three years, over time Miller has proven to be one of the most enduring figures of his era, with reissues of his recordings achieving gold record status even 40 years after his death. His recordings "In The Mood," "Moonlight Serenade," and "Chattanooga Choo Choo" all have been inducted into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame.

Wynne's “WYNNE MILLER SINGS GLENN MILLER CONCERT”, is a continuing remembrance of her uncle Glenn’s disappearance over the English Channel during World War II, and of the more current American tragedies.

WYNNE MILLER, “Carrying On The Tradition”, performed a special tribute in September, 2002 to her uncle, Major Glenn Miller, in her “WYNNE MILLER SINGS GLENN MILLER CONCERT”, as a continuing remembrance of her uncle Glenn’s disappearance over the English Channel during World War II, and of the more current American tragedy of 9/11.  The concert was at The Soldiers', Sailors', Marines' and Airmens' Club in New York.  A portion of the ticket sales were donated to the Club.

The Soldiers’, Sailors’, Marines’, and Airmen’s Club serves as a, “Home Away From Home”, to all service personnel, military retirees, veterans and their dependents. It was founded in 1919 by Mrs. Cornelia Barnes Rogers (who served with the American Forces in France in 1918 as a civilian ambulance driver) and Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. (who served in France in 1918 with the American Red Cross) with the support of General John J. Pershing, money was raised to start the club as an expression of gratitude for the sacrifices of our servicemen and servicewomen. Since 1919 the club has provided accommodations for over 2,500,000 eligible guests and their families. The club receives no government grants or subsidies, but is supported only by tax deductible donations from private citizens. Website: www.SSMACLUB.org
Current Chairman/CEO: Ivan Obolensky
Honorary Presidents: Franklin D. Roosevelt, General John J. Pershing, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Admiral Chester W. Nimitz

THE CONCERT is a unique tribute to Wynne Miller’s uncle, Glenn Miller, incorporating Wynne’s recollections of her uncle and many of Glenn’s most famous hit tunes: Moonlight Serenade, In The Mood, Pennsylvania 6-5000, Serenade in Blue, Chattanooga Choo Choo, plus World War II favorites, Berkeley Square and White Cliffs of Dover. Also included are two selections of American ballads, sung in German, which Glenn had translated into German, for his propaganda broadcasts to Germany and the Continent during the war.

Wynne's program includes many of Glenn Miller's Greatest hits such as the world renowned MOONLIGHT SERENADE IN THE MOOD, PENNSYLVANIA 6-5000, AT LAST, and the first "gold record" ever, CHATTANOOGA CHOO CHOO.  Also included are numbers from Glenn's great AIR FORCE ORCHESTRA.  Happily, this concert has been performed to rave reviews and great enjoyment in the states and in Europe.
